Chapter 10 – Home and More Surprises

“What?!” all three little boys exclaimed at once.  The Mr. and Mrs. of the House had just informed them they would be moving once school was out.  The even bigger surprise was that they were moving to the Lake District in England.

“Yipee!” the boys cried.  They had only lived in Edinburgh for a few months so they hadn’t gotten very attached yet so they were excited to have a whole new place to explore.  

Gabriel remembered his journey through Near Sawrey and thought about the new friends he’d made there.  He’d told Poetry all about it so when Poetry looked at him, Gabriel was grinning from ear to ear.  It was clear he had “adventure” written all over his face. 

“But first,” the Mrs. of the House declared, “you must all finish this school year.  There’ll be much packing to do---again,” she said rolling her eyes, “and this time I have your baby sister to care for, too.  I expect a lot of help from everyone,” she admonished.  Then she looked at Poetry and Gabriel and said, “Do you think you two can stay out of trouble for awhile?”

Poetry and Gabriel just grinned.
